The parking area and entrance can be found on the back of Don Diego, off of Camino De Los Marquez. Look for the light blue sign with the arrow.
Parking- Please park only in the designated parking spaces show in the parking map below.
Door- The lockbox located is to the left of the gate. The key opens both the gate and the front door. Please return the key to the lockbox after you have opened the door as there will be a set for you to use during your stay.

The TV is equipped with a Roku device. You can use this to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime for movies and TV shows. Simply turn on the TV, then turn on the Roku by pressing any button on the Roku remote.
You can also hook your computer into the TV to watch movies/tv shows via the internet. For Mac products, use the white adapter cable in conjunction with the HDMI cord coming out of the television. For PC products just use the black HDMI cord.
There is a large green trash bin located outside the house by the parking area. A large blue recycling bin is next to the trash.
The recycling bin takes all recyclables except glass. Glass can go in the green trash bin.
Both trash and recycling are picked up on Tuesday mornings.
First aid- The first aid kit is located under the kitchen sink.
Flashlight- Flashlights are available under the kitchen sink.
Fuse Box- The fuse box is located outside the house (to the right if you are looking at the front of the house) on the wall by the blue gate. The key for the fuse box is in the closet under the stairs.
Fire- There are smoke/CO detectors in all bedrooms and common areas. A fire extinguisher can be found to the right of the fridge and the laundry closet.
The house is equipped with central air and heat: the thermostat is to the left of the front door in the living room.
Since Santa Fe is a high desert climate many of our guests (along with us!) opt to leave the windows open-- especially at night when the temperature drops deliciously. Whichever option you choose: please do not run the A.C./Heat with the windows open.
The indoor fireplace will be turned off from May15-Oct 15. If you decide to build a fire outside of that time, please use the metal bucket outside of the house for the ash when you are done (it is by the stack of firewood under the portal). Don’t forget to open the flue! (Reach in and up into the fireplace, grab the metal lever, pull towards you for open, push back for closed)
To build a fire in the fireplace please follow these steps:
The Railyard District (.5 mi) is a large arts district with galleries, performance spaces, a cinema, restaurants & antique shops. Visit the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, the Boxcar to catch the game, and Second Street brewery for live music and a pint. The Violet Crown Cinema has a large lineup of local New Mexican craft beers as well as a full dinner menu.
The Santa Fe Plaza is also nearby. At about 1.2 mi away, you may choose to walk or drive. Around the Plaza you will find the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis de Asissi, Palace of the Governors, and the Loretto Chapel, as well as many restaurants; The Shed \(reservations recommended\), The Palace Restaurant, La Boca, and the Bull Ring are all right there, just to name a few.
Canyon Road is a short walk or drive as well (1.5 mi). There are many galleries and restaurants there including, The Teahouse, El Farol, Geronimo (reservations recommended), and The Compound (reservations recommended).
Museum Hill is off of Old Santa Fe Trail and is home to the Botanical Gardens, the Museum of Indian Arts, the International Folk Art Museum, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art.
The Santa Fe Ski Basin is about thirty minutes away. You can rent equipment at Alpine Sports in town or wait until you get to the mountain.
There are trails for every kind of hiker here; Some a mere ten minutes up the hill from your casita (Atalaya Trail), and others further out of town.

Ten Thousand waves is a world class Japanese style spa, less than twenty minutes from your residence! Enjoy the public baths or rent a private tub. Massages and various other treatments are available, Their restaurant, Izanami, is fabulous and serves izakaya small plates for sharing.
Ojo Caliente is about an hour or so north and boasts one of the oldest hot spring spas in the country. Historic, peaceful and beautiful, this full service spa is a must see for folks interested in a day of pampering.
Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu offers trail rides through some of Northern New Mexico’s most scenic panoramas. The guides are well versed in the history of the property, from the early outlaws who settled there, to Georgia O’Keeffe’s legacy, not to mention prehistoric history that came before, and movie trivia that followed after, (many movies have been filmed at Ghost Ranch). No experience necessary! The ranch is about an hour and fifteen minutes North.

For some out of town fun, Taos is a beautiful hour and a half drive North West, and Albuquerque is about 45 minutes South. Both offer tastes of New Mexico not found anywhere else!
Once in town, getting around is easy. Downtown Santa Fe and the surrounding historic districts are compact and most conveniently traveled on foot. It’s no wonder Santa Fe was voted one of America’s Top Rated Walking Cities.

Free shuttle service that starts and ends in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown.
